KHE MAC3 Street/Park 2.40" inch tyres with the world's first "double carcass".

After more than two years of development work, the KHE MAC3 tyre is now ready for the market. Our goal was to produce one of the strongest and lightest BMX 2.40" Street/Park tyres. BMX tires normally have a single ply carcass on which the profile is vulcanized. However, since the forces are extremely high when riding on the street and many riders ride with over 6 bar tire pressure, we have chosen a double carcass for optimal stability. Instead of the cotton threads used in most BMX tires, the MAC3 is made with Kevlar threads.
Kevlar is much stronger and lighter than cotton. Because of the double carcass we also have twice the amount of Kevlar threads. Because Kevlar does not absorb rubber (which is the case with cotton), the MAC3 is still one of the lightest 2.40" tires on the BMX market.
